LONDON (Reuters) - Pakistan were embroiled in bitter new corruption row before play even began in the fourth one-day international against England at Lord's on Monday.

LONDON (Reuters) - Lady Gaga and Katy Perry go head-to-head at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November, with five nominations apiece.
The U.S. pop princesses are both shortlisted in four categories -- best pop act, best song, best female act and best video. Completing the nominations for Lady Gaga is best live act and for Katy Perry "best world stage performance."

LONDON (Reuters) - Gross mortgage lending fell 6 percent year-on-year in August to 13.3 billion pounds, the Council of Mortgage Lenders said on Monday.

New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs(notes) threw his helmet 10 rows deep into the stands at Lucas Oil Field on Sunday night during his team's blowout loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The errant helmet didn't injure any fans, but did cause a commotion in the stands when the fans who retrieved it refused to hand it back to Colts officials. According to NBC's Cris Collinsworth, someone associated with the Colts eventually got it back by ripping the piece of equipment out of their hands.
