Carowinds buys land to expand amusement park

Carowinds amusement park has bought more than 60 acres of vacant land that will be used to expand the park. Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. says it bought land that straddles the border of North Carolina and South Carolina to expand the 337-acre park.
