"CAIRO (AP) — A popular television satirist known as Egypt's Jon Stewart was released on bail Sunday after nearly five hours of interrogation over allegations that he broke the law by insulting Islam and the president. Bassem Youssef is the most prominent critic of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi to be called in for questioning in recent weeks in what the opposition says is a campaign to intimidate critics amid wave after wave of political unrest in deeply polarized Egypt. Arrest warrants have been issued for five prominent anti-government activists accused of instigating violence. Deputy chief prosecutor denied the interrogation was part of an intimidation campaign and said his department was enforcing the law and seeking to establish some guidelines on freedom of expression."

"Gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a popular Auburn sports bar early Sunday, leaving three dead, one injured and police looking for suspects and answers. Auburn Police Cmdr. Mike Hirman said detectives have recovered at least two guns, are questioning a “person of interest” and are processing a “very large crime scene” at The Sports Page, 2802 Auburn Way North. The incident began about 1:45 a.m. when a large group of people — as many as 50, he said — were ”milling about” in the parking lot of the bar, located in a strip mall across Auburn Way North from the municipal airport. “Some sort of dispute erupted. You know, over a girl or words or something, and somebody started shooting and then somebody else started shooting,” Hirman said. There were at least two guns involved and Hirman said there may have been other shooters, as well. “We really are just trying to sort it out. We have a very large crime scene and there were a lot of witnesses. One thing we know we have is guns and drinking.” As many as a dozen people may have been involved in the fight, he said."

CBC - Pope offers Easter prayers for peace, Mar 31, 2013

Play Video "Pope Francis delivered a plea for peace in his first Easter Sunday message to the world, decrying the seemingly endless conflicts in the Middle East and on the Korean peninsula after celebrating Mass at an outdoor altar before more than 250,000 people in flower-bedecked St. Peter's Square. Francis shared in his flock's exuberance as they celebrated Christianity's core belief that Jesus Christ rose from the dead following crucifixion. After Mass, he stepped aboard an open-topped white popemobile for a cheerful spin through the joyous crowd, kissing babies and patting children on the head."

THE SPEC - Maine Zumba teacher accused of using studio as prostitution front pleads guilty to 20 counts, Mar 31, 2013

Alexis Wright, 30, leaves the Cumberland County Courthouse in Portland, Maine, after a hearing in the case of the Zumba fitness instructor charged with prostitution and tax and welfare violations. The defense and prosecutors resumed a settlement conference Friday, March 29, 2013, after the first round of discussions failed to produce a plea agreement.
"PORTLAND, MAINE—A dance instructor accused of using her Zumba fitness studio as a front for prostitution pleaded guilty Friday to 20 counts in a scandal that captivated a quiet seaside town. The agreement that followed a second day of plea negotiations on Friday spares Alexis Wright from the prospect of a high-profile trial featuring sex videos, exhibitionism and pornography. Prosecutors will recommend a jail sentence of 10 months when she’s sentenced on May 31."
