SEATTLEPI - Egyptian TV satirist released after questioning, Mar 31, 2013
"CAIRO (AP) — A popular television satirist known as Egypt's Jon Stewart was released on bail Sunday after nearly five hours of interrogation over allegations that he broke the law by insulting Islam and the president. Bassem Youssef is the most prominent critic of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi to be called in for questioning in recent weeks in what the opposition says is a campaign to intimidate critics amid wave after wave of political unrest in deeply polarized Egypt. Arrest warrants have been issued for five prominent anti-government activists accused of instigating violence. Deputy chief prosecutor denied the interrogation was part of an intimidation campaign and said his department was enforcing the law and seeking to establish some guidelines on freedom of expression."

SEATTLE TIMES - Three dead in Auburn tavern shootout, Mar 31, 2013
"Gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a popular Auburn sports bar early Sunday, leaving three dead, one injured and police looking for suspects and answers. Auburn Police Cmdr. Mike Hirman said detectives have recovered at least two guns, are questioning a “person of interest” and are processing a “very large crime scene” at The Sports Page, 2802 Auburn Way North. The incident began about 1:45 a.m. when a large group of people — as many as 50, he said — were ”milling about” in the parking lot of the bar, located in a strip mall across Auburn Way North from the municipal airport. “Some sort of dispute erupted. You know, over a girl or words or something, and somebody started shooting and then somebody else started shooting,” Hirman said. There were at least two guns involved and Hirman said there may have been other shooters, as well. “We really are just trying to sort it out. We have a very large crime scene and there were a lot of witnesses. One thing we know we have is guns and drinking.” As many as a dozen people may have been involved in the fight, he said."

Francis shared in his flock's exuberance as they celebrated Christianity's core belief that Jesus Christ rose from the dead following crucifixion. After Mass, he stepped aboard an open-topped white popemobile for a cheerful spin through the joyous crowd, kissing babies and patting children on the head."
