Bieber’s bus busted: Swedish police find drugs, stun gun on empty tour coach
"STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Swedish police say they have found drugs on board a tour bus used by pop singer Justin Bieber. Police spokesman Lars Bystrom says a small amount of drugs and a stun gun were found when officers raided the empty bus parked under the Globen concert venue in Stockholm — just before Bieber took the stage Wednesday night. Bystrom said Thursday they have no suspects and no one has been arrested. He declined to identify the drugs, saying it had been sent to a laboratory for an analysis. “We found a small amount of alleged narcotics and a stun gun,” Byström told the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet. The paper said a heavy police presence was at the concert to ensure hysterical Bieber-ettes didn’t get out of control. When Bieber entered the tour bus, Aftonbladet said officers noticed the pungent smell of marijuana coming from inside."

San Jose Mercury News - Police: Boston suspects planned to attack New York, Apr 25, 2013

"BOSTON—The Boston Marathon bombing suspects had planned to blow up their remaining explosives in New York's Times Square, New York officials said Thursday. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told interrogators from his hospital bed that he and his older brother had decided spontaneously Thursday night to drive to New York and detonate their remaining explosives—a pressure-cooker bomb like the ones that blew up at the marathon, plus five pipe bombs. The plan fell apart after the Tsarnaev brothers were intercepted by police in a stolen car and got into a fierce gun battle that left Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead, Kelly said."

THE INDEPENDENT - Stockholm police find drugs and a stun gun on Justin Bieber’s tour bus, Apr 25, 2013

"If any parent still thought Justin Bieber was a good role model for their child, they may be tempted to think again after police raided the singer’s tour bus in Sweden and allegedly found drugs and a stun gun. The 19-year-old Canadian pop star’s world tour has already seen a pet monkey abandoned in quarantine, a foul-mouthed clash with the paparazzi and crying children upset by the late starts of some of his concerts. But the discoveries by Swedish officers are the most serious episode yet."

NDTV - US believes Syria used chemical weapons but says facts needed, Apr 25, 2013

US believes Syria used chemical weapons but says facts needed
"Washington: US intelligence agencies believe Syria's government has likely used chemical weapons on a small scale, the White House said on Thursday, but added that President Barack Obama needed "credible and corroborated" facts before acting on that assessment. The disclosure of the assessment, which Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said was made within the past 24 hours and the White House said was based in part on physiological samples, triggered immediate calls for US action by members of Congress who advocate deeper US involvement."

BANGLADESH Building Collapse Due to Shoddy Construction, Apr 25, 2013

People work to rescue survivors from a collapsed factory building in Savar, Bangladesh.
"Ker Than for National Geographic News Published April 25, 2013 The substandard construction methods that are suspected of triggering the deadly collapse of an eight-story building in Bangladesh on Wednesday are a common problem in developing countries, where construction materials can be expensive and building inspections infrequent, experts say. The catastrophic collapse happened around 9 a.m. local time in an industrial suburb of the Bangladesh capital city of Dhaka (map). Ranza Plaza housed four garment factories, as well as some shops and a bank. (See Bangladesh pictures.) More than 150 people are confirmed dead, and more than a thousand injured. Many are still trapped in the rubble, buried beneath broken concrete slabs and twisted steel rods."
