Old timer's jamboree

Folk legend John Prine closed the Edmonton Folk Festival Sunday night. (JASON FRANSON, Edmonton Sun)
Ian Tyson, at a folk fest press conference Sunday, said something about not being too happy about the world we’re “going into.”
Typical. Old people are forever complaining that the world is going to hell, when it’s just a natural reaction to their own bodies falling apart. No offence to Alberta’s country legend, but shut up. The kids don’t need to hear this. The next generation, the future, is going to be just fine.
