'Other woman' in Brazil election holds key to deciding Lula successor

Ms Silva, a female former environment minister who resigned from the centre-left government of outgoing Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to run for office, won 19 per cent of the vote in the poll - far higher than the 14 per cent surveys had predicted for her.
