In a speech broadcast on Libyan state television this morning, Col Muammar Gaddafi told members of the Zentan tribe that foreign elements had infiltrated several cities in Libya, targeting youngsters and brainwashing them with weapons, drugs and sometimes money.
The Libyan leader also called for opposition-held city of Benghazi in the east of the country to be liberated.
"There is no choice for the people of Benghazi but to go out on the streets - men, women and children to rid Benghazi of this betrayal," he said.
