"The very first woman to have a successful womb transplant is now pregnant. The 22-year-old Turkish woman, Derta Sert, was born without a womb and received a transplant from a dead donor in 2011. She has been undergoing In-vitro Fertilisation Treatment (IVF) since the surgery. One in every 5,000 women are born without a womb - thousands more have it removed due to cancer or other diseases. In September, doctors in Sweden performed the world's first mother-to-daughter womb transplants on two Swedish women."
