Polls Open in Crucial Kosovo Election :: Balkan Insight

A high turnout is expected across most of Kosovo to select a new parliament in extraordinary elections sparked by the collapse of the government in November.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK, of outgoing Prime Minister Hashim Thaci remains favourite to top the poll, although its former coalition partner, the Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK, is expected to be close behind.
