LA TIMES - Placentas provide clues about autism risk at birth, study says, Apr 25, 2013

Pregnancy
"Researchers believe they have come up with a way to tell whether a newborn infant has a higher-than-normal risk of developing autism -- by looking for abnormalities in the placenta shortly after birth. The abnormalities in question are called trophoblast inclusions, or TIs. They are created when the placenta doesn’t develop properly, and they are a marker for various genetic abnormalities. When a placental sample is examined on a slide under a microscope, TIs appear as dark blobs."

Bieber’s bus busted: Swedish police find drugs, stun gun on empty tour coach
"STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Swedish police say they have found drugs on board a tour bus used by pop singer Justin Bieber. Police spokesman Lars Bystrom says a small amount of drugs and a stun gun were found when officers raided the empty bus parked under the Globen concert venue in Stockholm — just before Bieber took the stage Wednesday night. Bystrom said Thursday they have no suspects and no one has been arrested. He declined to identify the drugs, saying it had been sent to a laboratory for an analysis. “We found a small amount of alleged narcotics and a stun gun,” Byström told the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet. The paper said a heavy police presence was at the concert to ensure hysterical Bieber-ettes didn’t get out of control. When Bieber entered the tour bus, Aftonbladet said officers noticed the pungent smell of marijuana coming from inside."

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told interrogators from his hospital bed that he and his older brother had decided spontaneously Thursday night to drive to New York and detonate their remaining explosives—a pressure-cooker bomb like the ones that blew up at the marathon, plus five pipe bombs. The plan fell apart after the Tsarnaev brothers were intercepted by police in a stolen car and got into a fierce gun battle that left Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead, Kelly said."
