LAINEY GOSSIP - Jennifer Lawrence wins Most Outstanding Performer at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, Feb 04, 2013

Jennifer Lawrence at the 2013 Santa Barbara International Film Festival
"Jennifer Lawrence was at the Santa Barbara Film Festival this weekend where she received the award for Most Outstanding Performer of the Year. It’s been a big year. She owned the box office as Katniss in The Hunger Games. And now of course she’s on the awards circuit and nominated for the second time for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. At the event, she was as she always is: fun and funny and self-deprecating, seemingly without guile. Sasha Stone at Awards Daily observed too that she seems completely unaffected by what’s happening to her. That her reactions are genuine. That she seems totally authentic, uncalculated, and if she’s campaigning, she’s delivering one of the best, best, best runs in recent years."

BBC News - Super Bowl: Beyonce wows at half-time show, Feb 04, 2013

Beyonce
"Beyonce wowed audiences and critics with her half-time performance at the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday. Her live 14-minute set featured a medley of her hits and also a reunion of her group, Destiny's Child. After admitting last week she mimed the US national anthem at President Obama's inauguration, critics were keen to scrutinise Beyonce's show. But the New York Times was one of many that said she had now "silenced her doubters". "She balanced explosions and humanity, imperiousness with warmth, an arena-ready sense of scale with a microscopic approach to the details of her vocals," wrote Jon Caramanica. "Amid all the loudness were small things to indicate Beyonce was answering her sceptics, quietly but effectively. Beyonce the machine had made her point. This was proof of life.""

BBC News - Argentina pegs supermarket price rises for two months, Feb 04, 2013

Carrefour
"The Argentine government has put a temporary price freeze on all products sold in the country's main supermarket chains to try to fight inflation. A group representing two-thirds of Argentina's supermarkets agreed to keep prices steady until the first of April. The move comes days after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) censured Argentina for issuing inaccurate economic data. The government says inflation is below 11% but economists say it is double. Analysts have accused Argentina specifically of understating the rate of inflation since 2007 in order to keep interest rate payments on its debt low, and to flatter the political regime."Alexander Language Schools, Franchise Alexander Language Schools info@als-alexander.org or interalex1@yahoo.com Products and Services
