NATIONAL POST - Swiss tourist gang-raped in central India; 13 men questioned, Mar 16, 2013
"NEW DELHI — A Swiss woman who was on a cycling trip in central India with her husband has been gang-raped by eight men, police said Saturday. The attack comes three months after the fatal gang-rape of a woman aboard a New Delhi bus outraged Indians. Authorities detained and questioned 13 men in connection with the latest attack, which occurred Friday night as the couple camped out in a forest in Madhya Pradesh state after bicycling from the temple town of Orchha, local police officer R.K. Gurjar said. The men beat the couple and gang-raped the woman, he said. They also stole the couple’s mobile phone, a laptop computer and 10,000 rupees ($185). The woman, 39, was treated at a hospital in the nearby city of Gwalior, Gurjar said."

YAHOO News - Pictures: Rio’s Olympic rowing lake filled with 65 tonnes of dead fish, Mar 15, 2013
"A huge clean-up has been launched in the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon after 65 tonnes of dead fish filled the waters which are set to play host to the 2016 Olympic rowing events. The lagoon, authorities say, became deoxygenated after heavy storms, which washed ‘a large amount of organic matter’ into the lake. The clean-up is still underway, and is not the first time that the lagoon has suffered such misfortune. In 2009 an estimated 100 tonnes of dead fish, predominantly shad, had to be removed from the waters after a similar incident. As you can see from the picture above, taken during the Pan-Am Games in 2007, the lagoon hosted rowing successfully."

"Washington: An antibiotic used to treat common infections may carry serious heart risks, scientists have warned. The drug, called azithromycin but sold under the brand names Zithromax and Zmax as Z-Pak capsules, is prescribed for infections of the ears, lungs, sinuses, skin, throat, and reproductive organs, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). But the antibiotic can interfere with the heart`s electrical activity, disturbing its rhythm with potentially fatal consequences, ABC News reported."
