At least 20 people have been killed by security forces in Yemen, doctors say, continuing a bloody crackdown on protesters that started on Sunday.

Snipers in Sanaa fired from rooftops at a protester camp, killing bystanders including a child, witnesses said.

And government forces have begun shelling areas held by soldiers loyal to the protesters.

The opposition has promised to carry on its campaign to oust President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

For months, thousands of people have been waging a campaign to depose Mr Saleh, who is currently in Saudi Arabia recovering from a bomb attack in June.

Former IMF chief Strauss-Kahn regrets 'moral failing' in sex with maid - The Times of India: "PARIS: Dominique Strauss-Kahn's assertion that his encounter with a New York hotel maid was "a moral failing" rather than attempted rape has not persuaded her lawyers to drop civil action against the former IMF chief.

Strauss-Kahn on Sunday said he had let down both his loyal wife and the French people, and admitted he had abandoned his hopes of running for president next year, but denied he had sexually assaulted two women who brought charges against him.
