 "Ker Than for National Geographic News Published April 25, 2013 The substandard construction methods that are suspected of triggering the deadly collapse of an eight-story building in Bangladesh on Wednesday are a common problem in developing countries, where construction materials can be expensive and building inspections infrequent, experts say. The catastrophic collapse happened around 9 a.m. local time in an industrial suburb of the Bangladesh capital city of Dhaka (map). Ranza Plaza housed four garment factories, as well as some shops and a bank. (See Bangladesh pictures.) More than 150 people are confirmed dead, and more than a thousand injured. Many are still trapped in the rubble, buried beneath broken concrete slabs and twisted steel rods."

Boston Marathon bombing suspects' father says he will return to US, Apr 25, 2013

"The father of the two Boston Marathon bombing suspects told reporters in Russia he will come to the U.S. to bury his eldest son and “find out the truth.” Speaking to reporters from the mountainous southern Russian region of Dagestan, Anzor Tsarnaev said he still isn’t convinced his sons Tamerlan and Dzhokhar set the bombs that killed three people and more than 200 others on April 15. “I am going to the United States,” Tsarnaev said, punctuating his words by banging on the table. “I want to say that I am going there to see my son, to bury the older one. I don't have any bad intentions. I don't plan to blow up anything.""

The findings, detailed Tuesday in the journal Nature Communications, were drawn from several skeletons unearthed in central Europe that were up to 7,500 years old. "What is intriguing is that the genetic markers of this first pan-European culture, which was clearly very successful, were then suddenly replaced around 4,500 years ago, and we don't know why," study co-author Alan Cooper of the University of Adelaide Australian Center for Ancient DNA said in a statement.
