Chile miners: BBC sends 25 to cover rescue of 33 - Telegraph

The BBC has been criticised for sending a crew of 25 people, at a cost of more than £70,000, to cover the rescue of the Chilean miners that is expected to take place within the next few days.

The corporation’s staff significantly outnumbers all the other UK broadcasters put together, with ITV having sent six people, Sky News a team of nine and Channel 4 News just three.
