Independent stores and malls are enjoying the surge of last-minute shoppers today still looking for that perfect Christmas gift.At the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst, shoppers came rushing in when doors opened at 7 a.m. And Macy's has been welcoming shoppers for 24-hours straight.
