TRIPOLI, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- One hundred Libyan government troops, including a high-ranking air force officer, were captured by rebels as months-long clashes edged into the Libyan capital of Tripoli, the pan-Arab al-Jazeera television reported on Sunday.
The television said rebels in the western towns of Zawiyah and Zliten said they are just 27 km away from the capital.
Rebels have already seized four eastern neighborhoods of Soug Jomaa, Arada, Tajourah, and al-Sabaa in Tripoli.
