NEWS 24 - The last goodbye to relatives and colleagues says the actor and opera singer of George Moutsios tomorrow, Wednesday, at 5:30 p.m. at the cemetery of Zographou, Athens. Died at 80 years after having traveled a considerable artistic path.
Moutsios, George, born in Kalamata in January 1932, was a multifaceted person. He studied music and singing at the Greek Conservatory and drama at the National Conservatory He went to Vienna for further studies in voice, and theater directing (The sisters were the soloists of Opera and Maria Sophia Moutsiou).
Indeed, his career began by singing.  In 1951 he was hired as a singer at the National Theater and participated as a member of the Chorus in Sophocles' tragedy "Oedipus Rex". For much of the public, George Moutsios remains one of the most characteristic forms of "bad" popular Greek cinema of the sixties.
