"The L.A. County Coroner confirmed Scott -- who is the younger brother of “Alien” director Ridley Scott -- leaped from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro.
A suicide note was found in Scott's Toyota Prius, which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge. His body was found four hours after he jumped and turned over to the coroner’s office.
Scott directed major films like “Days of Thunder,” “Enemy of the State” and most recently “Unstoppable.” He also formed the successful production company Scott Free with brother Ridley, which produced Ridley’s latest sci-fi film “Prometheus.”"
