Is Buenos Aires a better version of Paris? Sep 2, 2022

No… It may be a cheaper version at best. I have been to Paris at least 10 times… In Buenos Aires, I was 10 days more or less… I like Argentina and its people much more than France…. However, it is impossible to compare Paris with Buenos Aires…

The biggest problem with Buenos Aires, is that the standards change completely from neighborhood to neighborhood… Paris also has some dangerous neighborhoods, but always at a certain level of standard… Take a taxi from Recoleta to anywhere within 30 miles (48 km approx. ) around Buenos Aires and see how the scenery changes.

It's not really about the beauties of cities... It's about the culture and standards that make a city a label or brand. That is one of the reasons why Paris is still a great tourist destination...

It is true that the architecture, the cemeteries, the restaurants and the wine culture are very similar. Buenos Aires is a European city like Paris. Built by Europeans...Argentines have mainly Spanish and Italian ancestors, therefore it looks like a European city and sometimes similar to Paris. However, it does not mean that it is a better version of Paris. Not even a better version of Madrid... (By the way, I like Madrid more than Paris, I don't know why)

Paris is Paris and from my point of view it is simply incomparable... If you ask me which one you prefer to enjoy with local people, I prefer Buenos Aires... Great people with warm hearts...

In my opinion, Buenos Aires never ceases to amaze you, I am an immigrant, I have been here for 2 years and there are still places that I do not know, and perhaps I will never know them, I am short of images because there would be a lot of material to cut, the only thing I can to say is that in Buenos Aires you can be in a very nice place and in 5 blocks you go to be in a slightly less safe place, I have never had any mishap but you realize the vibe from one block to another, I don't know why but It's very common.

I've never been to Paris, so I can't compare, I'm just giving my opinion about the city, about its people, there's everything, good people (for the most part) and bad people (where not?). There are always many tourists in Recoleta, Puerto Madero, Palermo, San Telmo, Monserrat, La Boca, or anywhere, Buenos Aires has it all.

It is worth mentioning that only CABA (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires) is being mentioned because we also have Province of Buenos Aires, just so you have an idea, CABA is 200km^2 and Province of Buenos Aires is 300,000^2, in the Province you find places to visit too, but it also denotes a lot of poverty, as an immigrant I never imagined that there were places with so much poverty (there are also many rich ones) in Argentina, but yes, but you also find very good natural places; I mention the above because I do not know if Paris is divided as CABA and Province of Buenos Aires, and in case it has places with so much poverty, I hope not to offend anyone, it is not my intention, it is just an observation on my part, that may not be the best for some._
