Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is speaking out on the beating her adult son took from three men at a Detroit gas station this week.
Franklin said in a statement some early reports had some innaccuracies.
Franklin said through a public relations firm that Eddie Franklin underwent surgery after arriving at a hospital emergency room earlier this week. She said his jaw was wired shut.

Eddie Fisher, whose huge fame as a pop singer was overshadowed by scandals ending his marriages to Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor, has died. He was 85.
His daughter, Tricia Leigh Fisher, of Los Angeles, said Fisher died of complications from hip surgery at a hospital in BerkeleyBeckham to sue over allegations in US magazine
The company said in a statement the allegations in the weekly In Touch are "completely untrue and totally ridiculous as the magazine was clearly told before publication."
